Forgotten Foundation Stone of Chandigarh

People of Chandigarh, lets take out some time and give a big applause to the Municipal Corporation of Chandigarh. They have been successful in keeping one of the most important site of Chandigarh clean and so beautiful that everyone living in Chandigarh and every tourist should visit this place.
Which is that place you ask?
It is the foundation stone of the commencement of work of the second phase of Chandigarh laid by M. S. Randhawa, Chief Commissioner (1966-1968) on December 25, 1996.
I am pretty sure majority of people reading this blog, and those who live in Chandigarh would not have the knowledge of where this stone is and how "WELL" it is maintained.
The foundation stone was laid in Sector 35 (near the Markfed Building).
Shocked...!!! Everyone of you surely visit Sector 35 atleast once a week, and you never noticed this?
How will you, when the site where this stone was laid is in such a shabby condition, which homeless people use to keep their belonging for some time of the day as they also know that no one is visiting that place and it will be safe. There is a garbage dumping area just adjoining this site, still the MC workers have never got time to at least clean this place if not make it recognizable.
Friends, Chandigarh has a rich history with it. It was the first planned city of free India, it was designed by the Master Architect, Le Corbusier himself, even today, architects and students from all over the world come and study this master piece of Le Corbusier. We, the residents of Chandigarh should be proud of our own city and should help to keep its history, its important sites clean and lively. With this blog post, we, from THE LIFEMASHUP, are trying to make the MC of Chandigarh aware of what they have missed. Please join us in this appeal and help spread this blog so that everyone is aware of this and this site of the foundation stone is recognized and maintained properly in the way it should be.
